The MetLife Nuestras Voces National Playwriting Competition began 10 years ago thanks to the generosity of MetLife Foundation. During this time, hundreds of playwrights from around the nation have submitted their plays.
The contest’s goal is to identify and develop the work of talented playwrights that highlight the Hispanic experience in the United States.
The Reading Series occurs every year to hear the finalists. From these readings, Repertorio Español will select a winner, 2nd & 3rd finalists and 2 runners up. The winning play will be produced at Repertorio Español.
